Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2s live stream and broadcast festival EDM performances.
Fremont, CA, USA - Blackmagic Design today announced that Pandax 4K relied on a full Blackmagic Design workflow to capture electronic dance music (EDM) acts performing at Lollapalooza Argentina 2025. Using Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 and Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro cameras, Pandax 4K shot the performances with clarity and precision even in low light conditions, bringing the thrilling experience to viewers at home for three consecutive days.
Following last year’s success at the festival, Buenos Aires based audiovisual production company Pandax 4K returned to Lollapalooza to capture performances from the Perry’s Stage, including acts such as Zedd, Charlotte De Witte, Blond:ish, Barry Can’t Swim, Kasablanca, and more. Pandax 4K partnered with NAKIO, the company handling the overall technical production of the festival and responsible for its live streaming since its early days, to send feeds via optical fiber to four different channels where selected performances were live streamed and broadcast on Flow, an Argentinian cable television and internet company. NAKIO is known as one of the biggest live streaming production companies in Argentina, handling a number of massive events and festivals in the country.
Pandax 4K has relied on Blackmagic Design for years, so when it came to handling a production of this scale, the team designed its workflow around the gear they trusted to deliver the results they needed.

“As part of our set up, we had an URSA Broadcast G2 mounted on a robotic arm for overhead shots, two that were handheld, allowing us to move around freely, and one with a long lens to capture shots from the front of the stage. Complementing these, we also relied on the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro to take wide shots,” said Damián Petruccelli, technical supervisor at Pandax 4K. “With these cameras we were able to deliver a visual quality that was not grainy or noisy, which was especially important for nighttime performances.”
For streaming, Pandax 4K used an ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K live production switcher, which was paired with ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel 20 to give the crew more control of their operations. For the IMAG screens, they used an ATEM Micro Panel connected via Bluetooth to control the switcher.
“Having the ATEMs paired with our cameras during the show allowed us to deliver a dynamic transmission both via live stream and also on the IMAG screens for the crowd,” Petruccelli continued. “We also used a Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini BiDirect 12G SFP converter in optical mode and connected it to Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G, so we could have intercom communication with the DJs, which was super beneficial. Since these shows are so fast moving and there’s very limited time in between sets, this communication was crucial in ensuring we were using the DJs’ ideal camera angles during performances. We were even able to have a Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 right on stage close to the DJs, since they’re so compact and perfect for close up shots.”

The Pandax 4K crew was also equipped with a HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro broadcast deck, which handled the recording of the shows and was later sent to NAKIO to use in promos and more.
For Pandax 4K, being part of musical events doesn’t stop with Lollapalooza. Just recently the Pandax 4K crew worked with artists Don Osvaldo and Trueno on major concerts in Argentina, relying once again on Blackmagic Design for the productions and boosting the workflow with even more gear, including Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro digital film cameras.
Marcos Nuñez, partner at Pandax 4K, added “Blackmagic Design allows us to scale as we need, no matter the size of the production, all while maintaining the quality that we are so accustomed to.”
“In the past five years, our company has grown exponentially here in Argentina and seeing how we are working with major events that reach global audiences is very inspiring,” concluded Demián Lammer, partner at Pandax 4K.
